Depending if you want to hike the 2 day, 4 day, 5 day Inca Trail or the 7 day Salkantay Inca Trail, you will need a permit from the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.
When checking for availability please remember that access to the trail is limited by the Ministry of Culture. So, all companies that offer Inca Trail hikes
have the same availability to the Inca Trail permits. When the permits are sold out, don't be fooled by a company that says they have spaces held or can get you on the Inca Trail.
If the date has spaces available for when you want to hike the Inca Trail, you will need to email all travelers passport data to our USA office.
You will also need to call us with your form of payment (deposit of $250.00 per person) with balance due 45 days prior to departure.
If you delay this step the preferred date may sell out and that date may not be available. As why we recommend that you book immediately when you have all passport data in hand.
NOTE: If permits for the original date is not available, you will need to advise a alternative date that is available to start the trek.
NOTE: There are 500 spaces that are available daily, approximately 300 are held for guides, porters and cooks, who must also register with the authorities to hike the Inca Trail.
So, in total only "200 tourists permits" are issued daily for the Inca Trail.
NOTE: If a traveler for any reason has to cancel their Inca Trail trek, the permit fee / deposit will not be refunded and is non transferable to any other company or traveler.
To book with us, you will need to send the following information by email, for all participants:
- Full name (as it appears in your passport).
- Passport number
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Age at time of trek
Once we have received this information, we will get back to you with instructions for payment of a $250.00 USD deposit per person. Your booking will be fully confirmed once you have made this payment.
Most of our services are in private however when possible we will at your request try to add you to a group. If that is the case the rates are subject to be lower when in a small to medium sized group.
