WOW!! All I can say is WOW!!
Donna and I did your The Capital of the Inca - (6 Days & 5 Nights) , with an additional night in Lima. Every single moment of the trip went perfect. From the accommodations, transfers, trains, guides and drivers to the museums, markets, and archaeological sights. Everyone was professional, on time and spoke wonderful English. Even when our LAN Airlines flight was cancelled, your staff in Cuzco, had us re - accommodated quickly on another flight that got us into Lima 1 hour earlier and made sure our driver and guide in Lima was on the ball to whisk us away to Miraflores.
If anyone has a chance to do this wonderful magical trip, I highly recommend that you spend a few dollars more for the private guide and driver. The time you save getting on and off a bus with 30+ other tourists is spent enjoying the awesome sights, hearing detailed descriptions and personal attention.

I just wanted to let you know what an awesome trip we had to the jungle. We were so very luck with all the wild life we were able to see. Tons of parrots, families of Capivara's, black scorpions, tranantula's, but most special of all we got to see a Tapir swim across the river and run across the river bank. Wow! It was a excellent trip and I just wanted to thank you for helping us experience this. Big complements to our guide Victor, he was extremely knowledgeable and had a hawks eye for spotting wildlife. I just wanted to let you know that Tony and I had an incredible trip and appreciate everything that you and your team did to make sure all aspects of the trip went smoothly. This was a complex itinerary with numerous transfers and tours and it all went off without a hitch. All of our accommodations met or exceeded our expectations and each of the guides was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. We particularly enjoyed conversations with Oswaldo (our guide on the Inca Trail) and Fino (our guide in the Amazon). We were really glad that we had booked the Sanctuary Lodge at Machu Picchu. We came off the trail and arrived at the lodge around 9:00am well before the 1:00pm check in. Having access to a private lounge area to shower and change before touring Machu Picchu was wonderful!!
I also wanted to let you know that we had an excellent experience at the Hotel Sebastian in Quito and would recommend it to you for other clients interested in staying in the Mariscal District. I have friends who are considering an Inca Trail trip next spring and have given them your contact information.

Dear Chris,
We're catching up with everything after our wonderful trip. We had a wonderful time, the contrast of northern Andes with Cusco-Sacred Valley-MP was startling. The itinerary you prepared was fabulous. All of the guides were superb, and the drivers were excellent. The drive in northern Andes was awesome and worth it. We caught the end of the rainy season while there, the 'highway' between Chachapouyas and Chiclayo was in longer than usual. But really no complaints on that score. We saw a lot, people were gracious and friendly. Our guide Alicia saw that we had plenty to eat! After that, there was no rain to speak off, just a few light afternoon showers. We had most sunny weather the rest of the way, and entering MP early morning, there were few people and it was a beautiful, sunny day. We really enjoyed the bus trip from Cusco, especially the church in Andahuaylillas Rachi, and the delightful place we stopped for lunch. It was a great experience, and we appreciate your attention to all the details.

We just got back from Peru and I wanted to thank you for arranging everything during our time there. All the TAMBO staff in Cuzco were marvelous - very helpful, friendly professional, well organized, and ready with whatever information we needed. Juan (the driver) was a gem - steady at the helm, low key, but game to take us (or stop) anywhere we asked. Omar Aragon, our guide in Cuzco/Sacred Valley/ Machu Picchu was wonderful - very knowledgeable about the area, attentive to our preferences and requests, and willing and able to branch out into discussions about history, culture, politics, and socio economics. These folks made our trip feel well organized and personalized; they are the selling point of TAMBO's service!

Everything was organized and timed quite well. It was amazing how we were taken care of!!! We loved all the hotels and thoroughly enjoyed the Monasterio and the TAMBO TOURS lovely ladies who met and greeted us. The tours in Cuzco were great!!! The train rides were very enjoyable...spectacular scenery!!! What a pleasant surprise the Casa Andina was...a spa/hotel in the middle of nowhere! We actually booked an hour in the spa! The place we went for lunch that day was also terrific! Once again, in the middle of nowhere...a great meal and surroundings. The Inkaterra Pueblo hotel was great lodging and restaurant. What a great experience. We especially enjoyed our guide Darwin. How he loves the Incan ruins, and how devoted he is to that culture. He is so knowledgeable. The Wasai Lodge was rustic but an experience of a life time with nature walks and boat rides. The food was very good, considering the facility of the 'kitchen'. The Wasai 'crew' were all gracious and friendly. Here our guide was Jorge...in the jungle and on the river and lake he was as well on excellent choice for our trip. Cesar the boat driver was friendly but also very competent in his boat skills, even at night!!! In Lima, Carlos and Robert were great, as was all the tour guides. All in all, it was a great experience. We were very fortunate to get two first class seats on CONTINENTAL on the 8 hour direct flight home, so were comfortable and well fed! I could go on and on about our experiences, but will just say...

Thank you for all your effort to insure a memorable trip in Peru.
Our 'adventure' was seamless. The guides, drivers, Tambo representatives were pleasant, informative and punctual. The hotel in Cuzco had a wonderful breakfast. We also were so grateful to have balconies overlooking the plaza which we enjoyed even for the brief time we had in Cuzco. The hotel in Sacred Valley was quiet and pleasant with friendly, helpful personnel. We loved the gardens and the proximity to the historic town and ruins. Our guide, Berto and driver were delightful and dedicated to share their love of Peru and the Inca heritage. Andean Adventures provided tents that were larger than the Eric Adventure tents of my previous visit. I loved having my own tent and if I can hike this again I will be sure to have my own tent. It's much easier to be somewhat organized for the quick wake up tea, packing and breakfast. The food was great and even served with some flair. Amazing. Ernesto was very nice with some interesting theories. We liked the fact that he promoted his theories as just that ...theories. He was attentive to detail and the feelings of trekkers as well as the porters and cook. The perfect ending to the trek was the Inkaterra Hotel in Aguas Calientes. I never considered spending 2 days in Aguas Calientes until now. But I think a perfect ending to the trek would be one entire day at Inkaterra to rest and spa and stroll the gardens and town. Another day to return to Machu Picchu and explore the ruins at leisure.
I hope I can return but if not I will certainly refer other people to Tambo Tours.

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Peru which we booked through Tambo Tours. I want to let you know how pleased we were with the services we received through Tambo Tours. Jason was incredibly helpful when I was planning our trip. It was his friendliness and eagerness to help me that influenced my decision to book with Tambo tours, and I did look at other tour groups. Once we were in Peru we were always met and transferred promptly. Hi Chris,
Our trip was wonderful. Even with the rescheduled flights caused by the Peruvian airlines, we had a really great time on the trip. We met a lot of nice people, your staff was wonderful. They called as soon as we arrived at each destination. The hotels were in good locations and very nice, including the short layover hotel near the airport. The private tour in Puno was the best of them all, because it was all in English and we were the only ones. Also our naturalist Haley at the Wasai Lodge was excellent. We appreciated the opportunity of visiting the families in the Jungle and Lake Titicaca near Sillustani. The country is really beautiful. After our first day at Machu Picchu we thought we would not climb Huayna Picchu but the next day we did! Thanks for the gift of the wine and horse back riding in Cusco. The ride gave us an opportunity to see the country side we never would have seen.

I commend you and your team for an excellent trip. From the time Erica met us on our arrival into Cusco until our departure, all was handled on time and very professionally and we appreciated being met at the Liberatador with wine! Paul, the guide at Machu Picchu, was charming and very informative. He took great pride in the history of the place --- so much better to hear a local talking about it. Then we picked up both Juans in the Sacred Valley. Juan, the guide, was the best guide I've ever been with. He was very smart, funny and helpful in every way. My friend Kay was upset about a dog that had been hit by a car. Juan went out of his way to console her. It's those small things that mean so much. Juan, the driver, was sweet and helpful -- we had many laughs with them. The day after our Sacred Valley tour, Kay and I talked with a couple who were very unhappy about their tour arrangements with another group. We gave them your companies name (TAMBO TOURS card) and they called to re-arrange their trip through TAMBO. We will continue to pass the word about your great group. Erica said that you succeeded in canceling the Libertador for Nov. 8 -- sorry that became such a pain. I didn't have the confirmation number with me or I would have called them myself.

How can I begin to tell you how much we enjoyed the trip! We felt right at home in Cuzco. We loved our two day trips with our guide Efrain. We absolutely adored the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu and the Sanctuary Lodge. Our trek leader Pedro was a great guy. We had fun during our short final visit to Lima with our driver, Tito, who took us exploring along the seashore. A truly fine experience all around. Oh, and I did manage to get to a school at Willoj to leave a stack of notebooks and ballpoint pens.
