From Bolivia's Witches Market, Moon Valley, Tiwanaku
and the incredible scenic trip to Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world.
We will visit to the "Origins of the Inca Empire" on the Island of the Sun, the floating
Uros Islands and the ancient funerary towers or Chullpas of Sillustani.
Then to Cuzco and the fabled Capital of the Inca Empire with visits to their palaces,
temples, Indian markets and fortress of the Sacred Valley. The trip is not complete
with out the mystical winding train ride into the fabled Machu Picchu site hidden deep in the Andean mountains.

Day 1 - arrive La Paz
Upon your arrival into La Paz you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day to relax, optional afternoon wakling tour available.

Day 2 - La Paz - Witches Market - Moon Valley - La Paz
Morning tour in La Paz for a visit to the Witches Market. Here time can be spent with your guide
exploring the many variety of preservatives & cures for every imaginable problem or illness in
this historic market of the capital. Later continue to the Valley of the Moon where incredible
formations have been naturally formed by the wind and weather of high altitude region. Afterwards
return to La Paz and the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel. ( B )
Day 3 - La Paz - Tiwanaku - La Paz
Full day tour the pre - Inca site of Tiwanaku ceremonial center the oldest American civilization
located 1 hour from La Paz. Here you will view several structures like the Palace of Sarcophagi,
Kantatayita, both the gateway to the Sun & Moon temples and the impressive Ayapana pyramid. After
the tour you will return to La Paz and the hotel. Overnight at your hotel. ( B )
Day 4 - La Paz - Copacabana - Sun Island - Catamaran
You will be met and transferred by Transturin bus ( 3 hours ) to Copacabana. After a short tour of
the Cathedral & main square you will board the Transturin catamaran and visit the Pilkokaina Temple.
Continue to the south side of Sun Island were you will visit the archaeological sites of Inca Garden,
Inca Steps, Inca Spring & Sun Island complex. Tour of the DINAAR Archaeological museum with visit
to Challapampa Village & Chinkana Inca Holy temple. Evening folkloric show with overnight on board.

Day 5 - Catamaran - Sun Island - Copacabana - Puno
Morning tour of the Sun Island. ( north side ) Later continue by catamaran to Copacabana where you
will have time for shopping, taking photographs or relaxing before departing in the mid afternoon
by bus to Puno and the Hotel. Overnight at your hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 6 - Puno - Uros - Chullpas of Sillustani - Puno
This morning your guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Lake Titicaca for your boat ride
to the Floating Uros Islands. Here you will be able to view the community of Indians that are some what
unchanged in their traditions for hundreds of years. In the afternoon tour of the Chullpas of Sillustani.
Return to your hotel. (B)
Day 7 - Puno - Cuzco
Early morning you will be met & transferred by First Class tour bus for the scenic ride to Puno.
(8 hours). On the way you will travel through the Andean mountains passing and making short visits
to the archaeological sites and towns of Pucara, La Raya, Sicuani, Raqchi, Pikillaqta, Andahuaylillas while on the way to Cuzco.
On your arrival to the Inca capital of Cuzco, you will be met and transferred to your hotel with the
where you can relax for the remainder of the evening on your own. Overnight at the hotel. (BB)
Day 8 - Cuzco City Tour & Sacsayhauman Park - Cuzco
Morning on your own. Mid afternoon you will be met at your hotel and taken on to the historical and
archaeological sites inside the City of Cuzco and to the most important archaeological ruins of
Kenko, Tambo Machay, Pucapucara and Sacsayhauman. Return to your hotel in the early evening. ( BB )
Day 9 - Cuzco - Pisac Market - Ollantaytambo
Today our guide will take you into the Sacred Valley of the Inca where its breath taking scenery
through the Andean mountains lead to the Indian market town of Pisac. Here you will have time to
mingle and shop just as the locals have for hundreds of years. After lunch at a small hacienda our
guides will take you to the Inca fort of Ollantaytambo where the Inca fought their final battles
against the Spanish tyrants. Afterwards, remain in the Sacred Valley. (3:45 p.m) Overnight at the hotel. ( BB/L )
Day 10 - Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu
You will be assisted to the Ollantaytambo train station for the 8:00 a.m. Vista dome First Class
train. As it winds through the Andean Mountains, you will pass through several small villages where
the local Indian farmers manage their farms and reside just as they have for hundreds of years.
After the scenic ride you arrive at the final stop Aguas Calientes about ( 9:45 a.m. )Here, you
will notice that the weather has changed to a tropical climate. You can now appreciate the
abundance of plants typical for this region and the Amazon basin. Here you will board the tourist
bus and proceed up a incredible winding road that leads to the fabled site of Machu Picchu.
Thousands of people from around the world frequent this magnificent ancient site to pay homage and
grasp the spectacular views of Machu Picchu�s 7,800 ft. plateau. Upon your arrival ( 10:15 a.m. )
your guide will explain the history and the myths that surround this archaeological wonder. After
your tour, you will be transferred by bus to the base of Machu Picchu and the town of Aguas
Calientes. Lunch will be served at the local hotel.( 1:30 - 2:00 p.m.) Remainder of the day on

Day 11 - Free day Machu Picchu - Cuzco
Today you will have the full day to explore Machu Picchu and its surroundings on your own.
(We suggest to take a picnic basket on a short hike to Wayna Picchu or to the Inti Puku Pass
(Gate of the Sun) where you can get a birds eye view of this massive site. In the late afternoon
you will depart Machu Picchu with many memories that a picture will never tell. After your return
to Cuzco you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
